According to the literature, managerial characteristics have an impact on firm performance. Based on a sample of 141 SMEs in the primary, secondary, and tertiary sectors observed over the period from 2008 to 2011, our study concludes that the age, education, and professional experience of managers influence the performance of SMEs in Cameroon.
