Wow, what a textbook! Well written, excellent pictures, great examples, ways to apply the information into the reader's life. One of the best textbooks I have ever read, and I've taken 22 college classes so far.

review of mgmt

It seems a little silly to review a required college textbook but here goes. I'm a student with little previous exposure to principles of management. I find this book to be a painless introduction to the subject. It's all broken down and presented with real-world examples and plenty of graphics to keep things interesting. Everything is simplified, and this is probably my only complaint - a very minor one - some things are simplified to the point of distortion.

This book used actual company vignettes to illustrate various points. The text is current, interesting and has a easy to follow format. It was a great introductory book encompassing a wide range of management techniques, philosophies and various situations.
