The cadres of the municipality of Florencia show insufficiencies in knowledge management for local development due to multifactorial causes. In view of this situation, the research problem was defined as: How to contribute to the preparation of the cadres of the municipality of Florencia in knowledge management for local development? For the solution of this problem, it was determined as an objective to implement a program aimed at the preparation of the cadres of the municipality of Florencia in knowledge management for local development. The methods of the theoretical level were used: the historical-logical, the analytical-synthetic, the inductive-deductive and the systemic-structural-functional, in addition to the methods of the empirical level as well as the statistical processing of the obtained data. The practical contribution of the research is materialized in the Program sustained in the integration of its components from a developmental dynamics and the diversity of actions directed to the preparation of the cadres of the municipality of Florencia in the management of knowledge for local development.
