Severe burns occupy a very important place in the suffering of the patient who requires acute intervention with risks of cardio respiratory collapse and hypovolemic shock and chronic, in several aspects since the damage is devastating for the life of the sufferer, due to the sequelae from the functioning of the body, pain and emotional to aesthetic that will last for life. With the method of Sterile Polyethylene Membrane and Late Tangential Debridement, we have obtained excellent results in the function of mobility, sensitivity and aesthetics of the affected areas, through gentle, daily cures with change of membranes every 24 hours and rehabilitation therapy within the first hours of the accident, in addition to the cost well below traditional methods of management. We involve the family in the management of the patient, the families do not have catastrophic health expenses and we have short time of labor incorporation.
