Original title: Hombre mirando al sudeste
Dr. Julio Denis (Lorenzo Quinteros) finds he has an extra patient in the mental hospital. He also finds the patient, Rantes (Hugo Soto), knows how to play Bach on the organ; Rantes, however, has to ask eternal questions about Bach music and its effect on humans. Seems that Rantes claims to come from another planet to study humans and their behavior.
Now it is up to Dr. Julio Denis to believe or correct this mental malfunction. We go along for the ride. We even get what looks like technical proof that Rantes is just a projection. We learn about Adolfo Bioy Casares, an Argentine novelist. Looks like I have a few more books to read.
We get several telekinesis scenes. And of course, as the title says, he is always Facing Southeast.
Does the doctor really want to cure Rantes or to understand him? Maybe the doctor is the actual subject of investigation.
Beware the saxophone that we here throughout the movie.
A surprise is Inés Vernengo, Actress Career 1986 — 1992, played Beatriz Dick is more of a mystery in real life. She is part of the obligatory ending twist.
