Protected areas are important and essential for the conservation of biodiversity, helping to maintain ecosystem services and the flora and fauna of ecosystems. This is the case of the For t Class e de Lama (FCL), located in the south of Benin, which represents a special refuge for multiple species with different statuses and conservation threats. Unfortunately, the administration in charge of this reserve lacks reliable data on wildlife in the FCL. The aim of this study is therefore to use camera traps to determine the relationship between habitat characteristics and mammal occupancy in the For t class e de la Lama (FCL). This will enable managers to better orient their policy choices in terms of the conservation of this forest.
