Tied for the "best" of T.D. Jakes!

I had resisted buying this book because I am not a mother and had just lost my precious Mom and was afraid it would make me sad. NOT! This is one of the two most inspiring books Bishop Jakes has written; he speaks to women of all walks of life: married, single, mothers, non-mothers...My copy is "dog-eared", marked in, has pages turned down, cover is getting worn....Bishop Jakes encourages us to NEVER give up, it is NEVER too late with God, that we are "surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses" who are cheering us on, that we are DESTINED to follow the courage and strength of those who have gone before from generations past....I want to rise up and shout GLORY as I read this book....We are blessed to have this teaching and encouragement and I thank God! PS: And, IMHO, Jakes' other "best book" is "The Lady, Her Lover, Her Lord." It is awesome.

Bishop Jakes shares some interesting advice

Although Mother's Day only happens once a year, this audio reminds us just how important mothers are in most people's lives. Bishop Jakes shares personal stories about the experiences he shared with his mother along with the lessons and values she taught him, especially in the areas of life, love and longevity. IT'S ALWAYS A JOY TO DO BUSINESS WITH SUCH A COMPANY

Great for first-time moms!

I am a first-time mom with a 2 month old son. I also have tremendous respect for Bishop Jakes and believe that the wisdom that flows from him can ONLY come from God, so this book was right on time. I am savoring each page of the book. It is very refreshing to read what his wife says as well. It's the kind of book that you can curl up with on a quiet evening with a delicious cup of coffee and thoroughly enjoy. I'm reading it because I desire to make an impact on my son's life, just as Bishop Jakes' mom impacted him. My expectations are being met above and beyond. Get this book!!!
