LOWLIVES is a serial long poem in the style of a cryptic diary. Entries are accompanied by original illustrations. The work is grounded in the everyday experiences of the unnamed author and their attempts to find meaning and magic in otherwise mundane circumstances. This leads to reflections on relationships, nature, identity, money, loss and loneliness. Initially a response to compulsive urges to record or process chaotic events, LOWLIVES has become a mechanism to find comfort in one's own skin, and maintain some humanity while steeped in a toxic culture. This volume, malamute, includes the first three parts. You can read LOWLIVES any order.
