Great insight into Hawaiian history

My 8 yr old son really enjoyed this book. It helped us all better understand kapus {religious laws) and life in Hawai'i before the Europeans arrived. We were able to visit Pu'uhonua o Honaunau on the Big Island shortly after finishing this book. It was like we were there.
