Great X-Mas Gifts

Women I know are creative in all sorts of ways. This book is for all of them. And it's just in time for Christmas, so I had to buy about 15 of them. Two of my favorite quotes found therein: "Creativity is using the resources you best understand to make something positive happen. This isn't just about the arts. It's about business, medicine, leadership, housekeeping, world politics, or a Sunday potluck dinner." And, "The opposite of war is not peace. It is making things." Bravo Janet. When does the 2006 version come out?

Creativity Jump Start!

I've long been a fan of Janet's, starting with her book WOW! Wool on Wool. Her newest book, Making Things, is a balm for the soul. Turn the pages, read about Making Wishes, Making Friends, Making Dreams, and be inspired. The illustrations, photographs of her wool applique and embroidery, will stimulate your creative side. Whether you make things or not, you'll enjoy this eye candy book, and who knows--you might just make the time to try something new!

Exploring What Creative Means

Janet, I'm enjoying your book. I've never considered myself creative, but the reading is helping me to identify that element in myself. I read the page about downtime today. Then I became motivated to do some office clean-up I've been delaying. :)

Creative Fuel!

This is a great book for anyone looking for creative inspiration. This should not be confused with a craft how-to book. Textile arts in this case support the bigger emphasis on the importance of "making things"... any "things!"
