Remembering what the holidays are about.

A person in my family who will remain unamed . Was so dissapointed with the gifts she received for christmas that she moped about feeling sorry for herself for a week makeing the holidays unbearable for any anyone within earshot. This by the way is a middle aged woman not a toddler. The lady is also well known for purchasing self help books for anyone that does not think or act as she does. So when I saw this book for sale I thought of her . She has read the book. Some stories made her laugh others made her cry the important thing is she got the point great book for everyone

Excellent book, excellent author

This is a great book. The author uses stories from his life and the lives of others to show what really makes us rich - and it isn't money. I found myself feeling guily and convicted by what I read - not only does he show what truly does make people rich, he also shows how we need to be more thankful for what we do have. I enjoyed the book extremely. I first ran across Phill Callaway's books in the late 90's. He had a couple of books with amusing titles such as Daddy I Blew Up The Shed. I started buying all of his books I could find. This was in my pre-computer-owning days, so I mailed him snail mail to buy a couple I couldn't find in stores. In addition to sending me the books, he also sent me some kind of candy they have in Canada. Since that time, I have bought most - maybe all of his books - since my books are in storage, I can't confirm if I am missing any or not. He is a very enjoyable author to read. I would recommend him over Max Lucado. I guarantee his books to make you cry, smile, and even laugh out loud - yet his books aren't light fluff, or feel-good book. He has his own style, and gets his message across - and Making Life Rich Without Money is no different - you will smile, laugh, cry, and come away thankful for what you have and convicted to slow down and smell the roses.

Don't miss this

I've read hundreds of books over the past five years, but this is without a doubt one of my top few. In fact, I've read and underlined it four or five times now. I guarantee you will laugh until you wake up your spouse! I did. You will also discover that the things that matter aren't really things at all, they're relationships. Though most of us know this already, few of us live that way, and therein lies the beauty of this book: helping us realize that the most rewarding life comes from living the way God intended us to, investing in others, and walking with God.

Recommendation from a Financial Planner

I work as a Financial Planner and am very familiar with money matters. Phil Callaway has hit the nail on the head with this book. I am sure that everyone who reads it will immediately be "richer." This book is for everyone, young or old, rich or poor. I enjoyed this book immensely and would highly recommend it!

Laughter is Good for the Soul

I too heard this author speak on a local christian radio station. After reading this book I'm sure this will not be my last book by this author. My favorite part is from the movie "City Slickers" when the prophet Bill Crystal says...in your 30's you raise your families, in your 40's you grow a pot belly, in your fifties you have minor surgery, in your sixties the music is too loud, in your 70's you and your wife retire to Ft. Lauderdale, and in your 80's you end up babling to a Jamaican Nursewho you can't understand..... Any questions ?"For a heart warming and humorous look into Mr. Callaway's Life read this book !
