At 36, like most people, I was focusing on raising my children and building a career when I received devastating news that my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and only had a little over 6 months to live. Several months later while assisting in caring for my mother, I found out that I too had breast cancer. A couple of months after my diagnosis, my sister was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. All in the same year! I was assisting in caring for my dying mother, sister, and staying strong as a mother, wife, daughter, and sister while fighting one of the hardest battles of my life. Just when I was starting to live life again, my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. When I was going through the storm, it was hard to fathom ever being on the other side.
