Unfortunatley, most texts on any area of mathematics fail to enlighten students but rather tend to confuse. Not this one however! Feinstein & Thomas present the subject of quantitative methods in a most readable and enjoyable way. I couldn't put the book down. As an introduction to concepts and techniques it works extremely well with clear and unencumbered presentation, plenty of exlplanation and straightforward diagrams. F & S manage to make their subject interesting. That is the mark of a true teacher.
