The Making Frugal FUN Frugal Meal Planner was created as our meal planning tool kit to help us cut our expenses, save money on groceries, eat home more often, and pay off debt.

We started out debt free journey in 2019 and immediately realized that our food budget was a big problem. Once we started using a leftover meal planning method to make grocery shopping simple we were able to slash our grocery budget in half (or more).

Simply put, we plan out an entire month of meals in advance, cook 3 nights each week, double the meals and eat leftovers. Cutting back on how many nights a week we need to cook helps us stick to the plan and also stick to budget.
