Marty Schoenleber, Jr. is a church planter, teaching pastor and published poet. He has taught at three different seminaries as an adjunct professor and instructor but his favorite title is simply "Dad." Marty loves Jesus, his wife, his four children, church planting, books, baseball, the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles, the music of U2, Cademon's Call, Andrew Peterson, hymns, his son's poetry, Philly cheese steaks, bike riding and gardening.Beyond Jesus, his heroes are his Mom and Dad, who live with Jesus now, C.S. Lewis, John Piper, the missionary John Paton, his four children and all of his six brothers and sisters. These days he serves as one of the elders and the Senior Teaching Pastor at Manchester Creek Community Church in Rock Hill, SC as well as his continuing work as a prolific blogger and missional strategist. In his BLOG he attempts to be "provocatively opinionated."In addition, he periodically teaches Church Planting at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and trains church planters around the world in partnership with Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI) while giving leadership to Radical Church Planting (A church planting resource organization). When he is not engaged in these activities he is either relaxing with his wife, rooting for a Philadelphia sports team, pedaling his bike down the backroads of SC or mentoring church planters. Occasionally, he sleeps.
