A lot of compelling characters, interesting situations, interesting ideas. I really liked Sisko (the later Sisko), Garak, Damar, Kira (the later Kira), Odo, and some of the other characters. The show also had a lot of intriguing ideas. But some of these ideas were either executed poorly, or weren't written as well as they could have been. The purpose of this book is to show how much better Deep Space Nine could have been than it was.
