Making is a collaborative process that builds upon the foundation that Tampa has and constantly strives for better. Make Tampa is broken into three section: Make Tampa Open, Make Tampa Thrive, and Make Tampa Seamless. Make Tampa Open, focuses on how Tampa can operate more openly, more efficiently, and with greater engagement from its citizenry. The City of Tampa can accomplish this by opening up its data, engaging and collaborating with the public, recording and publishing its vital metrics, and improving the governing relationship between the executive and legislative branches. Make Tampa Thrive, focuses on the strategies and actions needed to develop economic growth in the City. It argues for a shift in thinking from an emphasis on corporate relocation and square footage based metrics to a focus on talent attraction and the incubation and support of local business. This can be accomplished by focusing on quality of life, infrastructure and transportation improvements, changing our code, and continuing to build a vibrant downtown core. Make Tampa Seamless, focuses on a holistic approach to the city with an emphasis on strong neighborhood and empowering our more disadvantaged communities.
