A must read for the real christian

I got Keith's music from a friend, we began to translate Keith's songs into Spanish and play them on our band repertoire. My friend also twisted my arm for me to read the book. After reading I decided to get my own copy. Inspiring and deeply touching. I have to say, Keith's life changed my own life and the life of people I have shared my experience. Hope I have the time to fully translate the book into Spanish and to find someone who wants to publish it, non English speakers need this book. Julio, from Chile

This is just great.

Alright, first I have to say a little about my Keith Green background. I am 18 years old, and Keith Green died before I was even born. But later on when my parents became Christians, my mom used to listen to his music alot, and when I got older and appreciated music -and CONTENT- for myself, I fell in love with Keith Green's music. Whereas I used to think I hated reading, I recently figured out I've just been reading the wrong things. :) So for Christmas I got a gift card to Border's and bought this book. This is DEFINITELY something I would reccommend to just about anyone, but especially a Christian youth looking for answers as you step out into the world with a suitcase full of questions. If you don't have any questions, I would venture to say that you *need* to read this book, because you have become too comfortable!!Ok, so specifically about the book. About the first 1/3 of the book is compiled of journals over the last 11 or so years of his life. It begins when he's about 15 or 16 in the 70's before he became a Christian and it documents his struggle searching for truth and God's place for him in this world. There are parts of his journals that seem choppy and like there's something missing between one journal to the next because sometimes he wrote very infrequently, but it leaves some mystery to his life. It's very personal and down-to-earth, and it is obvious that this is a man of God, who did find truth and pursued God's calling for his life. I found the journals very interesting, but if you seem disinterested, then skip to the second part of the book, it is great. The rest of the book is filled with short concert messages/sermons. They are Biblically sound, wonderful, and POWERFUL readings! God really showed Keith Green that God did not call us to a life of comforts but more to a life of sacrifices, and yet much blessing and joy. I have been looking for a good, applicable, and deeper devotional book for almost 6 months now, and I have found it in concert messages from 20+ years ago! This has been an encouraging as well as challenging book that has my 5-star approval.
