An oversized, novelty board book containing a colorful plastic clock with hands that move and gears that whir and turn. It's eight o'clock, time to get up - and check on Maisy! With this delightful clock book, preschoolers can follow their favorite mouse throughout the day - a day much like their own - while learning the basics of telling time on a sturdy clock with movable hands. What's more, little readers can help Maisy with some very important decisions, by choosing from bright, simple illustrations of familiar objects labeled by name. What will she wear? What will she play with in the park? What ingredients does she need to bake cookies? What will she bring with her to bed? For preschoolers ready to learn about time - or just to have a great time - MAISY'S FIRST CLOCK is a sure bet for hours of fun.
My daughter loves this book. She has gotten pretty good at telling time by reading it. And, of course, she also loves Maisy. We have tons of Maisy books!
Great!

My four-year-old loves numbers and likes to tell me the time on digital clocks. He also loves anything that he can minipulate with his hands and he likes Maisy, so this book is great. (The gears that move the hands are visible, so he also gets to see how a clock looks and works on the inside.)He can change the time and relate it to one of Maisy's daily activities (like eating breakfast, getting dressed, etc.). This is also great as a picture book and promotes early reading skills. I think this is a great book for teaching preschoolers the concept of time.
