I wrote Magnifying Your Days 6 weeks after my parents died 13 days apart. I was praying for God to ease my pain and the thought, "I should write a poem," would not go away until I reached for pen and paper. The first poem I ever wrote, To Be Just Like My Mom, came so fast I could hardly write it. I was crying so hard I could hardly write. I prayed for God to give me more poems and He did. Magnifying Your Days contains 31 inspirational devotionals for grieving. There are a few scriptures followed by a poem and a devotional which ties the two together. An RN with 3 months left to live named the devotional. She said after reading it, 'It magnifies my days. It quiets me down in the middle of the night when I wonder how much time I have left. It doesn't matter whether I live or die, I'm going to be ok. I'm in God's hands." I cried every day I wrote the book. I did not take one day off because I knew when I was weak, God was strong. I wanted this book to be the best it could be to help that one person who would be working through his or her loss. I wrote this book for you! You are now the one person I did not have a face for but had the hope that you too would receive God's healing touch like I did. At one point in my grief I had no peace. I read all of the scripture in the devotional and had perfect peace. It continues to fill me with courage and focus my thoughts outside of myself to the hope of seeing my Mom again. It keeps me from becoming discouraged. To God be all the glory!Bonnie Rinehart
