Charles Manhoff (1924 - 2015) was a United States Marine during the Pacific War from 1942 to 1945. He was an aide and bodyguard to Colonel Lewis "Chesty" Puller, commander of the 1st Marine Regiment, during the battle of Peleliu in 1944. He was also Chief Regimental Scout of the 1st Marine Regiment during the battle of Okinawa in 1945. Mr. Manhoff also served as a Marine officer with the 6th Fleet in the Mediterranean in 1950 and as a captain in the Oklahoma National Guard.
