Magick Men II

Kieran McKendrick, an intense alpha Warlock, comes from a long line of Magick. He's had women falling all over his delicious, brawny body for years. His father and uncles, the family elders, want it to end. They want Kieran to find his "bith-bhuan gra", his soul mate. Because of Kieran's resistance, they pull whatever majick tricks they can to make Kieran give up his excesses and claim that one special woman. Kieran is physically frustrated beyond all comprehension. The meddling elders have put a curse on him that makes him change into his beast, his other half, when deep inside a woman. On top of that, he has the urge to mate the woman, binding her to his side forever by sinking his teeth into her and marking her as his. Kieran is revolted that he might bind the wrong woman, and angry at the loss of control over his rather dominating beast. He steers clear of all females, hoping to find a way out of the curse. After all, what woman wouldn't run screaming from the furry, toothy wolf that Kieran has a hard time controlling? Bronté Hayes, or Té as she's called, comes to Scotland to visit her sister. When she sets eyes on the intense Kieran, she feels his powerful draw. While she admits to herself that he's the most incredible piece of male hide she's ever laid eyes on, she refuses to be dictated to by anyone. Té also doesn't want to bring any danger to those around her. With a nasty former lover hot on her trail, she is wary of planting roots in one place. But Té has never come up against a strength of will as forceful as Kieran's, and she's never had to fight such a powerful attraction. Kieran wages two wars: one with Té and one with himself. He knows Té is meant to belong to him, and he vehemently demands she acknowledge his claim. At the same time, he is fighting his internal beast. He's terrified of the damage such a dominating creature can inflict on the petite Té, knowing that she may turn from him when the creature emerges. While Kieran attempts to resolve these conflicts, he demands that Té tell him of the danger stalking her. He will let no one touch that which he claims as his. Té is about to find out just how possessive and protective her Warlock can be. Thank goodness I was prepared for Magick Men: A Bite of Magick. Knowing the hot, sexy and downright steamy scenes that Ms. Byrd writes, I had my pitcher of ice water ready. Kieran's devilish personality and pent up sexual tension was a perfect match for Bronté's sassy mouth and independent nature. These two main characters are so well drawn that I instantly felt the intense sexual and emotional bond between them. In addition, Ms. Byrd's secondary characters are fun and fascinating, offering hints of books to come. I was fairly drooling for most of Magick Men: A Bite of Magick. I'm impatiently waiting to get my hands on her next McKendrick book, wondering which Warlock the family elders will try to bring into line next. Hello just wanted to comment on this great book! I realllly enjoyed it and have read the first book to this series A shot of Magick but however I didn't find the first as good as this one. It was worth every penny and plan to read more of Rhyannon Byrd. Hoping she write another to this series!

Hot Scots

This was a light entertaining read. The sex scenes were good although the word f*@k was thrown around quite liberally for soul mates to have just found each other. It was good enough for me to seek out the first part of this series and order it.
