Delicious glossy hardcover guide to a decade

This is a beautifully glossy collection of musical, political, technological, and cultural events in 1960's Britian. For the youngsters of the decade, rock n' roll was gospel, and Hylton covers the on-going disputes between the Mods and the Rockers in the UK. Althought it is billed as a book for all who remember the 1960's, this is also a terrific introduction for the modern youth who missed out on the decade and want to learn more about one of the more fascinating times in modern cultural history. Hylton draws on newspaper coverage, TV specials, advertisements, music flyers, high fashion photos, and more to illustrate his comprehensive look at a defining decade of the 20th century.
