At the age of six off the coast of the Pacific Ocean in India, Henny had to slip out of the brothel where she had been living with a mistress as an orphan to the port, where everything around was filled with the sound of arriving ships. Her intention was not to elope but to sleekly feast on chocolates, fruits and fragrant groceries on the ships. With constant hunger, maltreatment and rejection from her mistress, Henny's alternative were to jump on ships and get herself filled with assorted.
On one of her ship adventures, Henny encountered something mysterious- an event she had never seen before. Frightened, she watched intently from a distance as the townswomen made their magical dolls speak like humans; little did she realize that that encounter will completely alter the course of her whole life.
As new life began, sailing across the world with Mother Loa, Matushka and Ru and the rest of the crew was definitely a dream come true for Henny, but as it turned out, more adversity lay ahead. Mother Loa was arrested for supporting a riot in the British Trading Post and Henny was eventually taken to an orphanage in Britain where she met Mary, Sue, Eliza, and Jane. To survive in the poverty-stricken orphanage, Henny must learn to live with Mrs Frost.
With many nights of sadness, sobbing and total rejection at the orphanage, only time will tell the event that is about to unfold. Is it true that Henny's doll was not an ordinary doll and will she ever grow to find her true parents? Why did Mr Frost accept Henny in his house and what becomes of Mother Loa?
