Dated, but fascinating

Magic Bullets documents the advent of immunotherapy, the science of treating disease using the body's own defenses, in a very easy to read and relaxing manner. When I wasn't busy marvelling at the technologies described (even though most have existed since the '70s) I was quite entertained by conversations Mr. Fjermedal records between himself and the research scientists whose work he studies. A great read if you're into medicine or considering it some day.
