Madrigal Dinner Script: "What A Tangled Web"

With a mix of regal pageantry and modern parody, this Christmas Madrigal Dinner includes many ceremonial festivities such as the entrance of the Yule Log, lighting of the candles, serving of the Wassail, toasts, and the Official Oath of Fealty and Faith to the Virtues and Vanities of the Yuletyde. Interspersed with these events are ceremonial music, madrigal and Christmas concerts, and several short humorous scenes where the Lord and Lady deal with the loss of the head serving wench. After dessert, the proceedings are interrupted by the arrival of an unexpected lost visitor. In a farcical takeoff which mixes The Wizard of Oz with modern technology, Dorothy "Dot" Com begins a quest to find the World Wide Wizard so that she may return to her home, "Page." Along the way she encounters a web of friends, including PewterMan and the Seedy Ram. The fun flies fast and furiously during this preposterously punny parody.
