Potentially a life saving read!

Overweight my ENTIRE life, mother of a disabled child who is reliant on me, at age 50 I found myself needing to lose weight in order to lower my BMI for a hip replacement. Fad diets over the years failed and I knew that eating healthy was the only way to be successful……but I couldn’t stay the course. I always gave into my cravings. My will power was nonexistent. As a last ditch effort, I decided to try this book. I mean it couldn’t hurt, right? Lysa’s ability to write with rawness and humor made for an easy and relatable read and caused something to “click” for me. I still have a long road ahead to get to where I want to be but at least I have miles behind me now, unlike ever before. I keep this book handy to refer back to highlighted pieces when I feel I need additional motivation. This book made what felt impossible, attainable. Lysa makes you feel as if she’s going through the weight loss struggle just ahead of you, with her hand extended to help guide you, to strengthen your faith and reliance on the Lord and to give you the high five or fist bump when you need it the most. I highly recommend this book! I mean it couldn’t hurt, right?
