Inspired by the lawless love story of Bonnie and Clyde, Jenna Voris's heart-stopping tale of passion and crime will have you seeing stars. "A thrill ride of the highest caliber. Cyrus just graduated from the flight academy with a shiny new position lined up reporting to a well-respected general. On his very first assignment, he stops the outlaws in their tracks--or he would have, if his annoyingly handsome copilot, Lark, hadn't fallen for Ava's deception. But when Shane uncovers a top-secret plot that would leave his and Ava's home world at the mercy of Cyrus's military leaders, he makes it his mission to thwart them at all costs. It isn't long before the two of them make interstellar headlines with each new heist. And thanks to a chance run-in with the rebels, Cyrus is caught between two versions of the truth. He must pick a side--and fast. Because Shane and Ava will bring the planet to its knees . . . or die trying.
Title: Made of Stars
Author: Jenna Voris
I like the cover on the book "Made of Stars" by Jenna Voris. I love the illustration and color palette used on it. It's very pretty the artist did a great job. Made me want to read it. This book was not a favorite of mine but I semi liked it a little. I struggled to get through it the book was very confusing from the start I could barely understand what was happening to be completely honest. It didn't have a build up and went straight into action.
Quote: "Shane had always thought killing would be harder, that it would take a certain king of person to wrap their hands around another's throat and squeeze until there was nothing left, but it had been over by the time the warden arrived, before the droids swarmed and the prisoners rioted. Killing was the easiest thing in the world. And Shane wasn't sorry."
Rooting for the Outlaws

I kind of figured because the book blurb kept touting that it was the story of Bonnie and Clyde, but in space, that Ava and Shane probably would not have a happy ending. But it was still hard not to root for their success against the Opians who were trying to destroy their homeworld due to greed and for all their crimes, it was such a small dent in the grand plans of General Noth.
I think it Ava and Shane were a bit better than Bonnie and Clyde, especially when all their crimes (after the breakout from Chess) were to help their home planet. And there was the addition of Cyrus, who becomes important more at the end. The villain of the story is pretty one dimensional. Awful for the sake of being awful in deciding to ruin a world and that's it. I prefer a little more depth to the villains or they just become meaningless.
I think this book was pretty good but needs more worldbuilding and more dimension to the characters.
