An insatiable Regency romantica...

I hadn't read a historical romantica so scorching and memorable since Emma Holly's Beyond Seduction. Madam Charlie is one insatiable, delicious and erotic romantica! I couldn't put it down and savored the last few pages like rich chocolate. Colonel/Seventh Earl of Calverton Jordan Lyndhurst finds the beautiful blonde Madam of a high-class brothel intriguing and darkly sensual, and he wants nothing more than to get her into bed. But who is Madam Charlie? She is a tormented young woman with a secret that she cannot reveal. Despite owning one of the most erotic salons in 1815 London, she has sworn off sex, but Jordan Lyndhurst could well change that. The problem is that he is the one man she should avoid... The story is compelling and the characters -- especially Charlie and Jordan -- are well developed. The building of tension between Charlie and Jordan is scrumptious. The sex scenes are erotic beyond words. I found myself wanting a cigarette after each sizzling scene, and I don't even smoke! The descriptions are one of the best I've read. This is an incredible Regency romantica. For those of you who like your romance rough and your erotica sweet (so to speak), you get an equal amount of romance and erotica in this novel. The historical aspect of it is also wonderful. My one complaint is that this novel is only 235 pages long. I wanted more! Sahara Kelly is officially on my to-read list. I loved a quickie novella of hers I read a while ago and this novel proves once again that she is a great author of erotica. Are you in the bargain for a historical romantica? Give this amazing Ellora's Cave offering a whirl. The aforementioned imprint delivers once again!

Fun in the Regency...

If you're tired of the same old Regency plot lines, this one will surprise you. Charlie is not your normal heroine, and Jordan Lyndhurst is her perfect match. It's lusty, filled with hot romance and true love, and neatly ties up the story in a satisfying and true-to-the-period way. A recommended read.

Timeless Tales 5 Star Review

by Nicole La FolleCharlotte is the widow of the 5th Earl of Claverton. When the papers report she died in the fire that killed him, she doesn?t correct them; after all she believes she caused the fire. Charlotte obtains ownership of the bordello at #14 Beaulieu Crescent and becomes Madam Charlie. Only her faithful maid, Matty, knows her history. Colonel Jordan Lyndhurst, 6th Earl of Claverten, inherited the title from a distant relation. He had been recently injured in battle when he received the news and returned to England to assume the title. Now, a year later, his back injury still troubles him. The only thing that helps when the pain becomes severe is a massage, where the masseuse walks on his back. When the oriental servant of a friend who had always given him his massage is no longer available, he seeks someone else to perform this specialized craft. This leads Jordan to the Crescent where one of Madam Charlie?s girls is rumored to give the unusual massage he needs. But Madam Charlie informs him Kiku-San is no longer there and instead Madam Charlie will perform the massage. Jordan is intrigued by the Madam and becomes curious when he discovers very little is known about her. When he happens upon her chastising Dr. Ponsby for his mistreatment of one of his patients, and Madam Charlie is injured in the scuffle, he seizes the opportunity to get to know the mysterious Madam better. Madam Charlie is a well-written story of early 19th century England. Ms. Kelly has chosen to explore the time period with out resorting to the parties that normally permeate stories of this era. Both Charlie and Jordan are interesting characters with a history that must be explored. The willingness of these two lovers to work together and sacrifice is what the true romantic novel is all about. Madam Charlie is a well-plotted story with rich characterization. The many love scenes are interesting and exciting. Once again Ms. Kelly has penned a winner.

Timeless Tales 5 Star Review

by Amy L. TurpinCharlotte or Madam Charlie as she was now known, Countess of Calverton and widow of the Sixth Earl knew she was in trouble. The new Earl, Colonel Jordan Lyndhurst, was in town and doubtless he would not be pleased to learn that the Dowager Countess now owned a "house of ill-repute." To say nothing of the fact that it was highly probable that she had murdered her husband. Jordan knew nothing about the enigmatic woman running the place, only that he felt drawn to her as he had never been drawn to another woman before. Fortunately, he loved puzzles and Charlie was one puzzle he intended to master. After an unpleasant encounter with a customer who liked to hurt her girls, Charlie found herself whisked away to the handsome Earl's London home where he was intent on protecting her, and learning her secrets. ALL her secrets. And the bliss they both discovered there was immeasurable. It didn't take long for Jordan to discover he had finally met his own Waterloo. Ah, but surrender was never so sweet. In love with Charlie, he was determined that his submission would not be for nothing. He intended to have Charlie, now and forever. But her past and her present could prevent the relationship he yearns for. But then again, Jordan always did love a challenge . . . What a wonderful tale! Although not laced with as much humor as I've come to expect from Ms. Kelly, I fell in love with her characters instantly. Jordan and Charlie were well suited and I sincerely hope to read more about Jordan's friends Elizabeth and Spencer.

A HOT and Passionate Erotic Regency Romance

Does it get any better than this?? Ms. Kelly has proven with this book that the Regency is her time to shine. Charlie and Jordan Lyndhurst are two fiery, passionate characters and their story is a sexy, emotional ride. This author shows her knowledge of this time period and shows the reader a few things about it we didn't know also. After a horrible marriage and a disastrous, fatal fire that she thinks she caused, Charlie disappears into a brothel that she runs quite successfully, though never participates with the clients. Jordan Lyndhurst finds Charlie in this setting and is immediately smitten with her, and soon finds he is unable to "buy" her favors. Unable to leave her alone he finds her in a situation where she is in need of protection and he rescues her. What follows is one of the most passionate stories I have ever read. Ms. Kelly is an excellent storyteller and she captures the characters and the fire between them. Her sex scenes with these two absolutely singe the pages and I can't wait for Spencer and Elizabeth's story it promises to bring more great reading. If you can I would buy anything you can find by this fabulous author.
