Mackinnon has lived his entire life on Scoray though as far as the authorities are concerned he does not officially exist. The arrival on the island of an old adversary sees Mackinnon having to evade the attentions of some shady characters from the Glasgow underworld whilst him and his friends deal with, among other things, an over zealous American vlogger, a flatulent sheep and a shipwrecked Ford Transit van.
Scoray, (pronounced Scurry), located thirty miles off Scotland's west coast, is almost, but not quite, the most southerly of the Hebrides. It is home to around 1500 people, just over half of whom live in the island's only village, Kilcalum. Hard to find on maps, Scoray can be reached by ferry, plane and a wee leap of imagination.
