Machona Pen: My Weapon - Defiant Poetry

This is my third poetry collection, and tenth book publication. The poetry presented in the book has Oslo's new Nasjonalmuseet (Nam)/ The National Museum of Art, Design, and Architecture as the inspirational backdrop. Because this is a one man's voice, it's a given that perspectives shared here cannot entirely represent human thought, or emotion. My hope, though, is that my message shall appeal as close as possible to what may be seen as universal truths, if not sensibilities.

Themes covered are as wide and diverse as human experience, and sentimental expressions thereof can be in thought provocative spaces such as museums can be; in the same fashion as durable creative work in its infinite manifestation possibilities can be. Whilst working there between June, 2021 and August 2025, everything about Nam - architecture, creatives, duties, employees, events, exhibition contents, goals, history, patrons, structural magnitude, and much more - evoked such intense emotions in me as to inspire a trove of poetry writing, some of which this book is the outcome.

I write about love, existential questions, geopolitical tensions, war and peace, planetary sustainability, and environmental concerns. Acquire a copy of the book for yourself and your loved ones. Be inspired to appreciate art more if you are not in it already. Allow poetry to be your motivational tool to awaken the creative angel of beauty, love, and peace that you are. I am not paid to advertise for Nam. I am no longer working at, or for Nam. But when in Oslo, do check out the place, for art' sake; for your sake

Mine is defiance poetry, hit-back poetry, and liberation poetry. I crush baloneys; I demystify falsities, I dream, I empathize, I praise, I provoke, I tease to inspire thought and action toward a better understanding of the self and one's place in the universe.
