Just what my Husband was looking for!

My husband has been looking for a good quality handbook such as this. It will definitely get a good amount of use in the next coming days. Anyone who works with machinery or is just getting into should purchase one. I’ve been told that it is the Machinists’ Bible (his words not mine). Thank you!

Machinery's Handbook, 27th Edition (Machinery's Handbook)

As a mechanical engineer who designs small mechanisms, I keep this book close by on my desk. Scarcely a day goes by that I am not using this valuable resource.

Machinery's Handbook general review

It is a very complete handbook and it really is the mechanical engineers bible. I have been looking for a book like these one for year, I'm glad I finally found one. The only bad thing about it is that there are no chapters refering to the area of heat transfer or termodynamics.

Bigger is Better!

This book is easier on the eyes thanks to the larger print and builds bigger muscles due to its larger size! As usual this book has all the necessary info to get my mechanical engineering design tasks complete only it's improved.

Frequently referred to as the Machinists Bible.

The Machinery's Handbook has been frequently referred to as the Machinists Bible for as long as I can remember. It contains an incredible wealth of information that everyone in the mechanical trades will immediately appreciate. Detailed information about practically any mechanical problem, ranging from the basic lever and wheel, right through to rapid prototyping. At this point I can honestly say, that I have always found the information I needed in less than 4 minutes. Exact, detailed information. The only area that I found the book lacking in, is the exclusion of European standards. For instance DIN reference numbers, but as the world is heading toward ISO9000 the old reference numbers are becoming obsolete in any case. It's price of $80.00 may seem steep, but in comparison to the other works out there, it is reasonable. All in all, if you work in the mechanical trades, you cannot afford to pass up this book.

Two Thumbs Up

I am a college student attending Johnson & Wales U. in Providence, RI. Curently my major is Computerized Drafting. Upon reciving this book, the formulas and information contained in it impressed me. The info. contained is more than you would find in combinations of other books. I reccommend this book to any Draftsperson, Engineer, or Machists (as the title indicates).
