Alex Kalfas, the prime minister of Greece, is facing a dangerous threat. Arthur Eckersley, the CEO of Xplore Industries, is determined to buy Hellenic Aluminium, a company based in Macedonia, Greece. Eckersley plans to use the company's aluminum to clad his launch vehicles with a new metal that his scientists have developed. This metal is incredibly strong and lightweight, making it ideal for use in space exploration. However, Eckersley's plans carry a sinister undertone. He also intends to use the sale of the metal to build a small mercenary army that he will use to conduct terrorist attacks in Greece and eventually invade Macedonia. Eckersley believes that Macedonia historically belongs to North Macedonia, and he wants to take control of the region and all its mineral wealth of gold, aluminum, and coal. Kalfas is determined to stop Eckersley. He knows that if Eckersley succeeds, it will mean war between Greece and North Macedonia. Kalfas turns to his friend Chris Horsman, the Athens CIA station chief, and his ex-lover, Gitta Leher, a CIA operative who is working undercover as Eckersley's PA. Together with Yannis Spanos, the head of the Greek anti-terrorist agency, and Kaliope Vlachos, the home secretary, they must find a way to stop Eckersley before it's too late and the balance of power in southern Europe becomes perilous for western democracies.
