About the Author -

The author was born in August 1965, into a family of farmers. His primary education was in his village, Venturu, secondary education in APR School, Tadikonda and APR Junior College, Nagarjuna Sagar. These institutions had a tremendous impact on his education and outlook towards life.

Medical education was at Guntur Medical College, where he received four gold medals. MS General Surgery was in PGIMER, Chandigarh, and higher surgical training was in the UK. He obtained FRCS in 1994, returned to India in 2004, and has been practicing GI and Laparoscopic Surgery at KIMS Hospitals in Secunderabad ever since. He is actively involved in postgraduate surgical training.

He lives in Hyderabad with his wife, Kamala, and sons, Vishnu & Pranav.
