Lucy was a little girl who loved mice. She owned a pet one in a cage and used to play with it. She spent many an hour watching them and she talked to them. She was very excited when she found out that they intended to have a mouse circus and wild mice were coming in from the fields to audition for the acts. This was an exciting time. A few of Lucy's friends gave the mice pieces of material so they could make a circus tent and make costumes. A fun book.
