If you're looking for Swedish instruction for English speakers, you already know that there isn't a lot out there, especially for children. I have a 5-year-old daughter of Swedish heritage that I would like to have learn the language but I have a hard time finding something appropriate. This tape is a lot of fun and not too annoying for parents (like some children's stuff). It's a good way to build up some vocabulary and hear more examples of the proper use of pronouns - a tricky thing in any language. You get a copy of the lyrics so you can follow along of course. I don't give it 5 stars only because it is incomplete as a tool by itself. You'll need a basic primer in Swedish grammar and word construction in order to be able to apply what you learn in any other context. But if you're like us, you already have some of the basics. I recommend it as a way to expand on the basics and I highly recommend it for children. Three cheers for choklad bitar!!
Well worth the read!

I'm new to all this, so I bought what I thought would be the best primer on Swedish...and am I glad I did. Not only does the author cover all the basic techniques Swedish (modified hand-roll, deep muscle, oil/no-oil, and best choice of tables) but does so in a clear, page-turning and often humorous manner. I suggest it highly!
