LWD Induced Flexiable Pavement Rehablitation Staregies

This book deal about the use and application of Light Weight Deflectometer for pavement evaluation. LWD rapidly assesses the in situ surface modulus of pavement layers. In this work LWD used to estimate in-situ surface and subgrade modulus and based on it rehabilitation strategies were framed. LWD test was conducted on 52 distress locations on a bituminous surface, WMM, GSB and Sub-grade. At the same test point location, field densities were measured, and samples were collected for laboratory testing. LWDmod software was used for finding back-calculated modulus for each layer. 90th percentile back-calculated modulus values are considered for Performance analysis. IITpave software used performance analysis of existing pavement by back-calculated modulus values. Three rehabilitation design alternative is proposed using IRC 37-2012.
