These two novellas, "Always Faithful", and "One of the Few", are pretty fast reads. Two female Texas cousins who end up working on a military base in England meet the sexy Marines of their dreams but are initially resistant to get involved due to their past relationships with men (One had a cheating boyfriend, one a cheating and physically abusive husband). In "Always Faithful", Nikki Phillips dumps her loser boyfriend to start over in her mother's homeland, England. There she meets fellow Texan and oh-so-charming US Marine Lt. Will Chambers. Will Nikki be able to resist his charm or ultimately trust him to be "Always Faithful"? In "One of the Few", Nikki's cousin, divorced mom Roxie follows her to England to flee an abusive husband. She meets Will's best friend and notorious ladies' man Boothe O'Brien. Boothe falls hard for Roxie (and her son) and is head-over-heels in love for the first time but will Roxie resist him or let him into her heart? Both novellas are fast paced and easy reads. The fact that they are inter-related stories makes it read like a single novel. When these two Marines fall in love they fall hard, and there's some hard pursuing that goes on. Both stories are passionate but Boothe and Roxie's story is much steamier. Both couples face some challenges along the way but there are ultimately two very satisfying HEAs. This was not the most challenging or original plot that I've ever read, but all in all a good romantic read!
