These are the sordid journals of the profligate Michael Ordeal as he wends his dissolute way through the nefarious Gay Quarters of the island-paradise Nevahachi. One such GQ is the Red-Light District around the main Kotobi train station. This is the local area where foreigners sometimes go / are allowed. Glass houses with their familiar erotic / alluring pink haze. Girls in the windows. All business entrepreneurs, with mama-sans, no pimps. Most have mirrors by the beds. The other GQ is the Ibara which caters mainly to the Western / foreign trade. Bars fronting as drinking establishments, couches in the back. Separate rooms or drawn curtains. Usually not as clean, but the girls speak some English. An evil called progress has hit Nevahachi. Office buildings and shopping malls being constructed. Gay Quarters much too seedy. Not family-oriented. Much of train station RLD closed down. To be totally demolished next year.
