Lust and Afflictions is a collection of poetry and prose about heartache, betrayal, and lust. It intermingles love and raw pulsating emotions that border pain and a certain darkness that exists in brokenness. It highlights a wave of peace and celebrates love on every level.

It is such a dark and spirited journey I never thought I would be able to put it out there.

I said everything I wanted, everything I felt I never could...everything I felt I wasn't given the chance to.

I knew it would raise eyebrows and questions and possibly leave me forsaken and without friends because most of it was not easy to digest and I showed myself in less than adorning lights but it is the truth and I had to face it.

I wrote it for all the women who have been broken and shaken to their core and left empty and bleeding and bruised-

I shared my grief, my pain, my mistakes, and the monster I could be, the monster I was for all the narcissistic love we endure never knowing we had the choice to refuse or refute it.

You deserve more, you deserve better!

I wrote it because sex and lust are interwoven and not separate entities of romantic love or women's health and wellness and I refused to pretend that it is. It's a conversation that needs to be had and women should be a part of it.

Our yum is just as important, we have desires and kinks and a full spectrum of erotic sensuality and we do not desire to be subject to a feelingless entanglement of the male sexual fantasy.

There are scopes to our fantasies and freaky and nasty!

We want to be a part of our sexual experiences not a tool for it.

I became partly whole in Lust and Afflictions, with just a few shards left to be gilded together. I bent my knees and sat at God's feet and found love there-

I wrote it to encourage me, I share it to strengthen you.

You will get through this!
