Brian is a public servant. He spends his days coming up with policies for the politicians that get all the praise and the money.
But something is happening out in the world. Some madness that is spreading through everyone. Maybe it's a virus. Maybe it's a god come to punish the wicked. No one is sure. The only thing Brian knows is that he has to keep working or else the politicians will rake him over the coals.
Plus, someone seems to be stealing other people's lunches from the staff fridge.
This isn't that book. Or at least it is the first draft of that book in all it's raw glory. Characters that don't really have arcs. Plot points that don't eventuate. The things that writers try to hide from their readers when they publish.
Lunch Eater RAW first appeared in Sean Mackaay's weekly newsletter "The Author is Dumb" between November 2021 and April 2022. Here for the first time is the first draft collected together. Plus additional notes and thoughts from the author to try and demonstrate how a book goes from first draft to finished product and what the process looks like.
