Was an ok read. Glad I gave it a short. Fourth Wing lovers might enjoy this.

When Nyx tried casting dark magic, I wondered if it was because she was unable to use dark magic especially learning that light magic is a myth. I was definitely intrigued. This reminded of the Empyrean series by Rebecca Yarros. I found myself comparing Xaden and Atlas; while both are mysterious and possessive, Xaden wins because the relationship he formed with Violet felt natural whereas the 'relationship between Atlas and Nyx is purely lust. I like a good blend of different genres in my reading and I also like the romance to feel natural, where it's not only just a physical attraction.
