An dear old friend

I bought this book for my two daughters when they were three and six, and it is like a dear friend to us now. The CD that accompanies the book is so soothing and familiar to us, and the music and songs are perfect for bedtime. The neatest thing about the CD is that it begins with the vocalist reading and then singing the text of the book, but after several tracks, the music changes into instrumental, somewhat mystical selections that even I have found very soothing and enjoyable. My daughters are six and nine now, and they both still love "Lullabies Under the Moon." I can't imagine being without it.

Very pleasant and soothing for naptime

This book and disc are charmingly rendered for the infant or toddler. The vocals on the disc mimic the book's text (first read, then sung), followed by several instrumental tracks. The vocals are quite pleasant and spoken in a soft tone (these ARE lullabies). The instrumental tracks are also pleasant and low-key, and we will occasionally put one of them on 'repeat' during story/bedtime. Unlike many children's discs, there are no discordant tones, or sudden loud voices to interrupt a child who is beginning to drift off to sleep. Our family uses the disc as background music during 'quiet time' and in the car when we have some tired tykes in the back. Well done, Caviezel & Pledger!

My daughter loves this CD!

My daughter is almost 3 years old and she LOVES this CD. We don't read the book because it's never caught her fancy, but she has listened to this CD every night since it was given to us 6+ months ago. She calls it her "talking lady" music. We program the CD player to repeat the CD all night long so it can lull her back to sleep if needed. I find the songs and music--even the lady's voice, as stilted and accented as it is--very soothing. It may not be my favorite CD, but my daughter loves it. She can't sleep without it.

My daughter's favorite for 2 years!

This has been my daughter's favorite book and cd since she was 6 mos old. My she is 27 mos now and still loves her "little bunny" book. We sit and read the book and listen to the cd almost every day. I like the fact that the songs are a little different than the usual lullabies and she now sings most of them with me. The best book she has...and she has tons! Very well-loved and absolutely worth the price!
