Alongside co-driver Jos Mar a Volta, he is a regular competitor in the World Rally Championship. He is the older brother of Pablo P rez Companc, also involved in motorsport as a one-time Indy Pro Series racer with the Chip Ganassi Racing team, but who suffered serious injuries in an on-track incident in 2007.
