The book has English cover flaps and an English Preface. The rest of the book is in German; in the margins of each page is a German-English gloss so the key German words are explained in English on the spot, with little or no need to look them up in an index or online. Each paragraph or so has several stanzas in the center margin. The tales are short, and there are no annoying chapter tests. This is an especially useful and fun book if you have at least one year of German under your belt.
