Love Love!

I must admit I read the other books in this series before I read this one, but it was quite an enjoyable read. I didn't find Milli to be selfish at all. She was just scared what would happen to her relationship with her child. By the end of this series I was ready to move to Texas and to find me a Luckadeau man for myself! I can't wait to read Brown's new Honky Tonk Bar series this summer!

FUN Love Does Not a Pattern Follow!

"Lucky in Love" is not your everyday follow the rules romance. It is in fact just what I needed on a cold rainy day cuddled up on the couch feeling blue. Beau Luckadeau is a dreamer....dreaming of a wonderfully drunken one night stand of yesteryear where he met the girl of his dreams. You really can't help but love the hottie. His family told him it never happened but the Cinderella earring tells him to hold on to the dream for all he is worth. Millie Torres is the beautiful young mother who was wronged once and will never be on the loosing end of a relationship again. Guarded is an understatement and many mistakes are made protecting her heart. When the two paths cross for what is thought to be the first time tempers ignite and bodies afire. Don't you just love it when you can't decide if you want to shoot the fellow or ravage his entire being? Millie can't believe her eyes when she is confronted with the past starring her in the face. She revenged her ex-boyfriend by giving herself to a stranger one night and has been bearing the reality of that evening for two years alone. Revenge gave her a beautiful daughter and a hardened heart. As the stars line up you will hate Millie thinking she is a very selfish individual, love Beau because he is so believing and come to the realization that you don't have to love the characters to fall in love with reading about them. I received the trilogy; "Lucky in Love", "One Lucky Cowboy", and "Getting Lucky" by Carolyn Brown and eagerly wanted to get to know the characters. I love the feel of getting to know characters in a trilogy and "Lucky in Love" left me with the desire for more. More romance, more drama, and just more.....

Great love story :)

I was very surprised that I enjoyed this book so much after reading the bad reviews. Beau and Milli are a great couple and they felt very real to me. I didn't find Milli selfish at all, in my opinion I just think she is young and scared. But she is also a very strong and independent woman. Beau is just a wonderful guy, who happens to know what he wants and he wanted Millie from the first time he saw her. I really wanted them to he happy together as a couple and has a family. I'll definitely read the other two books in this series.

LUCK IN LOVE jumps into action as Beau Luckadeau's prize bull is in a neighbor's pasture thanks to someone cutting the fence wire. He immediately jumps to the wrong conclusion when he accuses Milli Torres of being a thief. He almost gets shot for his trouble. Little does he know that she has come to southern Oklahoma to help out on her grandfather's ranch. He also doesn't realize that she is the mystery woman who has haunted his dreams for the last two years. Milli Torres is trying to avoid Beau like the plague. He doesn't remember their night two years ago and she wants to keep it that way. Fate doesn't seem to be cooperating though. Before she knows it, her carefully guarded secret is exposed and she loses control in more ways than one. This book is the first of the Lucky Series, followed by ONE LUCKY COWBOY in November and GETTING LUCKY in January, 2010. It's my first experience with Carolyn Brown's work and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think fans of Linda Lael Miller and Diana Palmer will also cherish this book too.

He had an accident and is recovering but needs help on the ranch for a little while. Millie Torres, Jim's granddaughter arrives with her daughter Katy. As soon as Millie realizes that Beau is right next door to her, she contemplates packing up her bags and heading back home. Beau may not have recognized Millie but she sure remembers him and the night they shared so long ago. Millie and Beau is a match made in heaven. Millie is beautiful as well as hot tempered. She is like a firecracker. She definitely shows Beau who is in charge. Beau is exactly who I picture when I dream of cowboys. A man who knows how to wear a pair of jeans. From the moment that I sat down to read this book, I was laughing and knew that I was going to really enjoy this book. I wasn't wrong. I enjoyed this book so much that I plan to rope myself some more of Carolyn Brown and her books. Lucky in Love is a must read!
