Lucky Everyday

This is the story of a young woman from India who lives in New York. She comes to America to start out again after going through a divorce. The story that takes the reader through twists and turns that come into all our lives. Although this young lady is well aware of the directions she should take at each turn of the road, it's not always that easy to stick with it. She learns. And we are left more aware too. The story keeps you absorbed and moves fast. I recommend it.

Wonderful !

Although Shanti tries to keep explaining to Lucky how to see life in the right way, it's not until the end that Lucky finally manages to do that. This book is correct in that we're always having these things explained to us, and we never understand them until it's been too late. But sometimes we can still pick up the pieces and keep going. It's difficult but doable. I'm glad this book explains that

A very good read.

A great book for all readers, despite that Penguin appears to target young women in particular. Lucky, the protagonist, grows from an ambitious young professional to a fully-mature woman. But the twists and turns and interesting characters she meets along way will keep any reader turning pages. A mystery? Absolutely. A coming-of-age novel? Sort of. A novel with a message? Yes. But above all, a page turner. A very entertaining book.

What a great book!

I thought this book was great. It really shows how we shouldn't judge people based on appearances -- the popular guys can be jerks, criminals can be nice people, and cops can be criminals. You have to really dig deep into people to find out who they are. A very touching book!

Cant put it down!

This book is a must read - for even those readers who dont get to the end of most novels! It is fast paced and exciting with glimpses into rare but true to life situations. Most women will relate in some way with the main character Lucky.
