A rhyming story of a boy named Luca, who is full of energy and imagination. Stalling during his bedtime routine, trying to squeeze in just a few more minutes of his day, his exhausted father finds the opportunity and darts out his bedroom door, with a loving goodnight. As Luca drifts off to sleep, he is suddenly awakened by a low rumble of a grumble. Is it a beast? Facing his fears and finding courage, Luca jumps out of bed with his flashlight and tries to reason with this beast as it scampers and hides all around his bedroom. The beast wishes to be left alone, but Luca doesn't give up. After realizing things weren't what they seemed, Luca turns his pursuit into a friendly greeting and meets the creature with grace and love.
