A trip back...

What a trip back in time-this book is so cool. I thought it was going to be alot of words, but it is chuck full of b & w photos. I got it as a gift for someone else who lived there, but it almost didn't make it to the receipient, because all the pics brought back so many memories! If you grew up in NE Philly, buy this!

A bit of nostalgia and a lot of "Good Stuff"

As someone who grew up the 40's and 50's in and near the areas covered, I found this book to be full of terrific old photos and some good historical information. I learned some worthwhile things I didn't know about the background of familiar places and names. Full of nostalgia, at least for this former resident.

Great book.

Grew up in that area in the 50s. Fun to see some old haunts and learn some light history. Great bood for any one with any interest in the area in that time frame.
