One Summer, Two boys-in search of manhood.

Growing up is hard to do, especially for two boys during the summer of 1991, in the Low Reign. LJ and Bee are two friends on the brink of adulthood. They both try to find a way to chase their dreams while making sense of their reality. The boys are barely sixteen and both are looking for an escape from their homes. Bee wants to get away from his alcoholic and abusive father to become a successful chess player. LJ, on the other hand, just wants to get out of the house and away from his police officer father, a mother who nags a bit too much and a little brother who is annoying. Both boys are looking for an escape as they try to figure out life one day at a time. However, special circumstances give them the shock of their lives and alter everything they know. On their journey, they discover romance, happiness, dreams and realities.
